AHPCC Roadrunner: Resources and Getting Help

  1. Getting help
  2. Training

1.0 Getting help

The Alliance provides assistance in using the Linux clusters made available by funding from the National Science Foundation through the PACI program. Help with the Roadrunner cluster can be obtained from the Alliance Consulting office. Staff are available between 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. (Central Time), Monday through Friday (except University of Illinois holidays).

You are encouraged to contact the Alliance Consulting staff using their web form. You can also contact staff by phone at 217.244.1144 or via email at consult@alliance.paci.org.

You can also contact the staff at the Albuquerque High Performance Computing Center (AHPCC) if you have a specific question about the Roadrunner cluster. Staff there can be reached via the AHPCC web form or by sending email to help@ahpcc.unm.edu.

2.0 Training

The Alliance provides both synchronous and asynchronous training through individual sites and through the Alliance PACS (Partners for Advanced Computational Services) program.

The Alliance-wide training schedule is maintained online and updated monthly. You can attend an event by traveling to the site listed on the schedule. Some events are available over the Alliance-sponsored Access Grid (AG), which lets you attend a training event by visiting any participating AG node site for that event.

Asynchronous training is also available through the Alliance. Check the online catalog of available classes for more information. Also refer to the NPACI online catalog of classes for other asynchronous training opportunities.
