5. Community vs. Specialized Machines

The Center for Advanced Research Computing offers a wide range of parallel supercomputers and clusters for use by UNM faculty, staff, and student researchers.  A detailed listing of CARC systems can be found here.  Most of the machines are community machines and are available for general use.  Two systems (poblano and Gibbs) are special-purpose machines that require special authorization to access.  To request access to these systems, please email help@carc.unm.edu, and provide a brief justification for your request.
