# Downtime notices

This page lists planned maintenance and service interruptions that may affect
CARC users. Details may change as work progresses; check back before a planned
maintenance window.

## Scheduled maintenance

### Firewall upgrade

**September 29–30, 2026**

Expect frequent and prolonged interruptions to network traffic to and from
CARC throughout the maintenance period. This will affect SSH logins, Open
OnDemand, the CARC Help Desk ticket system, ColdFront, and other
network-dependent services.
