Describing CARC in your proposal

Proposals that will use CARC systems can cite the facilities description in the user documentation — current cluster, storage, network, and data-center specifications written as proposal boilerplate — and should acknowledge CARC in resulting publications. Training

UNM’s Faculty Research Development Office (FRDO) runs proposal-writing workshops and events, and Research Compliance provides the required conflict-of-interest, export-control, and research-integrity training.

FRDO’s funding opportunities page is the starting point; it covers UNM’s access to the Pivot funding database, which includes National Science Foundation and many other opportunities. Departments can also draw on FRDO’s research support directory.

Check Compliance

UNM Research Compliance covers the items to check, including conflict of interest and research integrity. Export-controlled software or data on CARC systems needs prior written approval from UNM Export Control (export@unm.edu, 505-277-2968).

Submit Proposal

OSP’s procedures and guidelines give the big-picture view of the steps involved; work with OSP on specific questions about submitting your proposal through Cayuse.
