2024-user-meeting.pngThe UNM Center for Advanced Research Computing (CARC) will hold its third annual User Meeting on April 16, 2024 at Zimmerman Library in the technology enabled B30, located in the basement. Registration is open now!

The annual User Meeting is held in hopes to establish a platform for meaningful exchanges among existing users and center staff. Additionally, the event seeks to foster interactions and the exchange of ideas among users across various disciplines, with valuable feedback gathered from the user community to continue improving CARC.

Last year’s implementation of a student poster session was a success, and we will be continuing the idea into this year's meeting. We are accepting poster submissions until our deadline for registration on April 5th. As always, we encourage researchers, particularly students, to submit their abstracts when registering so they can present their posters in the afternoon poster reception at the User Meeting. Posters will need to be 36” x 48”.

This year’s event will feature CARC updates discussed over a luncheon, keynote and researcher discussions, and an open discussion about the current research computing needs of users followed by the poster session which will include coffee and snacks. Similar to last year, the poster session will showcase student and postdoctoral work utilizing computing resources in various ways.

Registration will close Friday, April 5. Lunch will be provided! We extend an invitation to all those with an interest in research computing to join us and discover more about the Center, along with the resources it offers to the UNM community.
